The Generals' Quarters restaurant
The Generals' Quarters Restaurant is a reminder of the many generals who passed through this area during the Civil War particularly the Wilderness Campaign in May of 1864. Many lives were lost in this area; thousands of men were led by great military men, Lt. General Ulysses Grant, General Robert E. Lee, Maj. General George Meade, Lt. General James Longstreet, Maj. General Warren, and Lt General Richard Ewell only to name a few. We honor all those who fought a good fight for what they believed.
Our Food is designed by Chef James Steele, our menu selections reflect the foods Chef began cooking at an early age. Many dishes were inspired by his grandmother.

"Breakfast was top notch - 3 courses done with care. We had fruit, home made biscotti, then a coddled egg with grits, cheese, virginia ham and a fresh egg from the hens they have, and a decadent bread pudding after. The menu changes up from day to day."
"They have a service to drive you/pick you up from the Inn at Little Washington."
