james madison museum of orange county Heritage

For 40 years, the James Madison Museum has been celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Orange County and the Piedmont Region of Virginia. The first museum in the United States to honor President Madison, farmer, Father of the Constitution and author of the Bill of Rights, the museum has close to 8,000 square feet of exhibits that include a large Hall of Agriculture and Transportation in which you can explore a wide variety of farming implements, conveyances and even a 1735 tenant farm house.

 

Our gift shop supports local artists and artisans by featuring their products. Admission is $5.50 for Adults and $2.50 for Youth (6-17). Groups are welcome. In addition to cash, the museum accepts VISA, Discover and MasterCard.
